Dubai attracts property investors from around the world. Here are five reasons our clients give most often, with the official data behind each one.
Dubai recorded more than 270,000 real estate transactions worth AED 917 billion in 2025, up 20% on 2024. In the first quarter of 2026, transactions reached AED 252 billion, up 31% year on year. An active market gives buyers choice and gives owners more options when they want to sell or rent.
0% income tax and 0% property tax* *T&Cs apply. The UAE does not levy income tax on individuals. Rental income from property held in a personal capacity, without a commercial licence, is outside UAE Corporate Tax (Cabinet Decision No. 49 of 2023). The only payments when you buy are one-off government fees on the transaction: a 2% registration (transfer) fee in Abu Dhabi, paid by the buyer, and a 4% registration fee in Dubai. Property held through a company is treated differently.
The DLD recorded 1.38 million tenancy contracts in 2025. Many communities offer strong rental yields, depending on the property, its location and how it is let.
